DeWayne Griffin is a life-long learner who believes in the power of mentoring, relationships and professional development. As the Vice President and Chief Data Officer at State Farm® Insurance, he’s responsible for the processes, standards and governance to recognize data and keep it protected. His experience building high performing teams ensures data insights are leveraged to serve customers in more ways and deliver results. DeWayne oversees areas responsible for data and analytics - - including strategy, management and modernization.

DeWayne is an active community volunteer, passionate about helping others achieve their personal and professional goals. He serves on the Women in Technology Advisory Council and is a member of the Information Technology Senior Management Forum.

DeWayne received a bachelor’s degree in computer science from California University of Pennsylvania. He earned his General Insurance designation in 2003 and Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation in 2007. He joined State Farm in 2001.
